Achievements are run either during an achievement session or during normal class hours. They will be assessed by the student’s normal teacher/the teacher who has passed the assessment criteria course. All criteria set out in the specific discipline level must be met for the student to gain the achievement. Once passed the student will gain a medal or trophy (based on the level they are at) and a certificate.
These achievements are unregulated, but unless your students are wanting to go into a life of performing arts they are going to love being able to achieve their levels, more up through the different stages and get their medals and trophies. This could change in the future
As an added bonus these achievement awards can be run alongside your normal exams, giving a double chance for students to gain confidence achieving their Studio awards and gaining the required regulated exams they may need for the future.
All students, both young and old, love to achieve. With the Studio Awards this can be something you can do on a regular basis, keeping up personal well-being and sense of achievement.
The Studio Awards go from pre-school to level 10 (at the moment, watch this space!) meaning you can start your students skill journey off from a younger age, boosting the skills and knowledge as soon as they can take part in movement classes. There is no age range for each level, this is something teachers will set for their own students.
Let's face it, we all do better in the subjects we love. So why not reward your students for their enjoyment and the effort that goes into their weekly classes. Even those students who might not want to do Graded examinations and qualifications deserve to get an award for their hard work and dedication.
Unlike external examinations, you do not need to book these awards in advance. As a teacher, all you have to do is ensure you have the correct number of medals and certificates to hand out to your students as they achieve their awards. This means little admin time, no extra overheads for exam days and a lot less hard work for you teachers (with a lot more benefits!)
We all know that exam days are normally costly days with a lot of stress in the build-up for both students and teachers. With the Studio Awards, there is no stress but there is so much more reward. No need for fancy uniforms or costumes, no perfect hair, and no teacher penalisation if something doesn't go to plan! Yet students come out feeling like they have achieved perfection and teachers can see the progression and confidence growing in their students.
The Studio Awards are low in cost which which in turn means higher profits for teachers! Find more information about costings and membership plans on our Pricing Page or by contacting us info@studioawards.co.uk
We also have a set criteria for several different disciplines meaning that where you may not have a set lesson plan with your classes you will now have a goal to achieve within them. For example, Street dance is normally a very fluid and open lesson in my dance school, we now have certain steps that need to be taught in each level for these students to work towards.
This is an ever growing list and higher levels are in the progress of being written, meaning your students can aim extremely high and keep progressing through them. Different disciplines are currently being looked into and criteria being written for them.
